Phenomena - Discografia [1985 - 2006]

As músicas do Phenomena se encaixam muito frequentemente naquela categoria de “sons que você ouviu, gostou, mas nem sabia de quem era”. Esse mega-projeto idealizado pelo produtor Tom Galley, irmão do guitarrista Mel Galley (Whitesnke, Trapeze) surgiu com uma proposta inovadora à época, unindo a música com um longa metragem que contava com breves histórias de natureza sobrenatural. O primeiro álbum contou com a participação de várias feras do Hard Rock, como Glenn Hughes, Cozy Powell, Neil Murray e Don Airey.

O grande sucesso fez com que um segundo trabalho fosse produzido. “Dream Runner” traz aquele que certamente foi o maior sucesso comercial do Phenomena, “Did it All For Love”, música que periga você acabar achando até em altos programas “breganejos” nas rádios popularescas que sua empregada escuta no radinho de pilha (risos). Outras figurinhas carimbadas apareceram dessa vez, como Ray Gillen, Scott Gorham e John Wetton.

Seis anos se passaram até que um novo álbum começasse a ser feito. A grande surpresa de “Inner Vision” foi a participação do guitarrista do Queen, Brian May. Apesar disso, o álbum não teve uma grande repercussão junto ao grande público. Quando parecia que o Phenomena nunca mais voltaria a dar as caras, em 2006 foi lançado “Psycho Fantasy”, com uma sonoridade mais moderna, mas sem perder as características originais do projeto. Participaram dessa vez, entre outros, Tony Martin e o baterista Dave Holland.
