Honeymoon Suite - The Big Prize [1985]

O Honeymoon Suite foi formado em 1982 no Canadá pelo vocalista e guitarrista Johnnie Dee, pelo guitarrista Derry Grehan e pelo baterista Mike Lengyell. Após assinarem com a WEA Canada, Dee e Grehan recrutariam o tecladista Ray Coburn, o baixista Gary Lalonde e Dave Betts para substituir Lengyell na bateria.

Lançado em 1985, The Big Prize é o segundo e melhor álbum da banda. Produzido por Bruce Fairbairn, o trabalho emplacou quatro hits no Canadá (Feel It Again, What Does It Take, Bad Attitude e All Along You Knew) e dois nos Estados Unidos (Feel It Again e What Does It Take). The Big Prize é inacreditável pois não possui pontos negativos, é um álbum bem estruturado e bem variado. Há baladas potentes, canções poderosas e a participação especial de Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) em All Along You Knew, que é provavelmente uma das melhores faixas. Destaco também Wounded e Words In The Wind.

The Big Prize é um disco muito bem feito e feito com muito bom gosto, uma boa pedida para quem gosta de Hard Rock sólido baseado em teclado e guitarra.
